We are making bread dough clay for a Japanese activity. We are making our own containers for a flower arrangement. Flower arranging in Japan is called Ikebana.

October

Wow!  We can't believe that it is October already.  Student schedules have been completed and sent home.  Our students are transitioning to classes and beginning to independently follow their daily schedules.  We are working on IEP Goals as well as academic units in the four subject areas  - ELA, Social Studies, Math and Science.  Some of our first semester units of study are as follows: Japan, who can vote, classroom rules, job research, writing/speaking in complete sentences, reading/listening skills, functional math skills, and the moon.  We are looking forward to seeing everyone at open house on October 11 from 6-8PM.
